Great Beginnings With Stella At Yankee Cotons

There literally was no ‘Yankee Cotons’ before Stella. I purchased her from a breeder who intended to keep Stella, but was persuaded to let me take her as foundation stock for my new journey. I have not been disappointed.

Stella is a happy active girl who is within the standard for the breed and has passed all her medical screenings. You can usually find her prancing and dancing around with a tail that seems to be in perpetual motion and a big smile on her face.

In addition to the certificates shown on this page below, for additional information on Stella’s photos, health and pedigree visit my online breeder program HERE

The tests and screenings have included:

  • hip x-rays (PennHip)
  • thyroid screening
  • patella luxation exam
  • basic cardiac exam
  • breed recommended DNA tests
  • general bloodwork and fecal tests

Many of the above items are cataloged with OFA (Orthopedic Foundation For Animals and their certifications are pictured below. If you prefer you can see Stella’s results on OFA website directly HERE:

While OFA does evaluate x-rays of hips, I prefer to use PennHip. I do this because it is more objective and gives me better breed specific data which I hope will aid in improving the breed here at Yankee Cotons.
