Introducing The Lovable Cotons At Yankee

The cotons shown on this page were each bought from different breeders across the country and are all AKC registered. They are my foundation stock which hopefully will produce healthy puppies in the future.

But first they all have to go through the gauntlet of medical screenings and clearances. They have to be healthy.

Meanwhile, I’ll be going through a learning curve with this pack of dogs. I’ll see how they are different from the shelties I know so well.

So far, all of these cotons have been a hoot in their own way. Each has their own personality within the general category of coton playfulness, mischievousness, persistence, and they get into everything. The world is their oyster.

This page is a summary of each with links to their own pages where there is more in-depth info on each.

Hear Me Roar At Yankee aka Squeak

male coton de Tulear: Squeak
Squeak’s got the biggest bark for a little guy. When he first arrived here he was extremely shy. It took many months but now he is a sassy little pup though still hand shy.

Captivating Cotons Genesis At Yankee aka Jennie

female coco de Tulear: Jennie
How dare I leave Jennie behind in a pen, ever! While she has her independent moments (that nose is always on the ground finding something that smells just so… important) she is generally a velcro dog. Sleeps in bed with me every night, no excuses!

Happy Tails Puppy At Yankee aka Jake

male coton de Tulear: Jake
Jake loves everyone and believes everyone should love him. A tad over the standard size, he is still easily a lap dog. He loves nothing better than to be held and have his tummy rubbed. And I like nothing better than watching him slowly close his eyes while he drifts off.

Captivating Cotons Mr. Magoo At Yankee

Young adult male coton de tulear: Magoo
Magoo runs like the wind and leaps as he goes. Watching his soft coat fly puts a smile on my face. His one trick is, I call his name and he sits. Not sure where that came from, SMH.

Stella Of Captivating Cotons

female coton de Tulear: Stella
It’s a coton thing and Stella can smile really big. And she loves to run up to you then fake you out by running away. then circling back again and again “I love you but don’t touch me.”. Silly girl.

Purplehaze Whiter Shade Of Pale At Yankee

Bitsy a young female coton de tulear

Bitsy is very petite and loves to roll on her back for a tummy rub. She didn’t have much of a coat as a juvenile but seems to be filling out more now. She likes to play perimeter guard and raises the alarm if anything (like a squirrel) breaches her domain.
